Our shop in Oulton Broad
We are an independent gift shop set right next to the water in the beautiful surroundings of Oulton Broad, a small subsidiary of Lowestoft in Suffolk - the most easterly place in the UK. Oulton Broad is the most southerly of the broads in the Norfolk Broads National Park network - and is in fact the only one of the Broads that is not in Norfolk.
Oulton Broad has become world famous for the powerboat racing held on it throughout the summer, including hosting the British championship. We are pleased to be the main sponsor for JB Racing, who have once again won this year in their class. Oulton Broad also offers excellent sailing opportunities for both novice and experienced sailors (with the wind is so variable and conditions that change in an instant, it is often said that if you can sail on Oulton Broad you can sail anywhere in the world!)

Did you know? - The world's first working hovercraft model was tried and tested at Oulton Broad in 1956. Sir Christopher Cockerell had the idea - using a cat food tin inside a coffee tin in a bucket, powered by a vacuum cleaner! Then with a boat-building friend he made a working model to be tested on the Broads. |
The Gift Shop has had its place in Oulton Broad for over 50 years and during that time has changed a bit! The newest chapter in its history opened in December 2009 when Andrew Page, who had previously worked at the shop for nearly 10 years, and had been the manager for the last five of those, took over ownership of the business.
We are pleased to launch this new website to showcase the diverse selection of gifts, collectables, jewellery and fine figurines that we have to offer. From classics such as Camberwick Green, Wombles, Winnie the Pooh and Beatrix Potter, to contemporary designs like Willow Tree and 4D Art we have it all. Our gift selection, including chinaware and souvenirs, ranges from items for the home from photo frames, vases and lamps to gifts ideas like our famous range of ducks, boats, dragons and windchimes. We have tin plate model cars, mugs, coasters, pens, magnets… the list goes on!
2009 saw the launch of our new jewellery collections, including the “Pure” by Coppercraft magnetic Hematite range and a fabulous selection of boxed necklace and earring sets, along with the gorgeous Byzantium Collection made from genuine Swarovski Crystal. We are constantly updating the jewellery selection to follow fashion trends.
We are also specialists in Florence Figurines from Italy. We are the largest independent retailer for Florence sculture d'arte in the UK and always strive to provide that extra special service for our customers. Sadly now out of production the Florence range is simply fantastic. We are working hard to keep Florence items available in stock so you can continue to enjoy the beauty of these stunning sculptures.
In 2011 we became official stockists for Lladro figurines. Lladro is a family owned company, producing their beautiful porcelain sculptures in Valencia, Spain. They have gained a worldwide reputation for quality and they produce some simply stunning works of art, which we are delighted to now stock.
